The Division of Criminal
Justice was recently contacted about another class action settlement
involving Point Plank, PACA or Galls brand bullet proof vests with
an expanded list of vests containing Zylon®. The vests include
the following Zylon® model: Fusion, Legacy, Galls ZL1, Galls
ZL2, Galls ZL3, The Beast, RTZ, ZG, ZPG, ZGS-2, Z3-2, WF-1002, S.P.I.D.E.R.,
SWAT Cert Plus, MRV Plus SWAT, M-2001, M-95, SVII, Wilson and Contact.
The Settlement appears to allow Class members to obtain new non-Zylon®
replacement panels and other benefits. If an agency or individual
purchased any of these Zylon® vests by these manufacturers,
you should read the attached Notice
and Claim Form
and follow the instructions in each document. These documents affect
the legal rights of the vest purchasers and owners. To participate
in the settlement, you must file a proof of claim by June 30, 2006.
If you have any questions, please contact the Claims Administrator
at (866) 778-1150.
